HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

Birthday Bananas - HOLY CRAP! Just when you thought you got rid of us...What the heck happened to the last year-and-a-half?!!! I guess MR. MONKIE'S HEATED TOILET PAPER™ didn't (bed) pan out as well as once thought? Oh well...But I digress.

Several years ago, this little site full of lotsa pixel pleasurables debuted on good ole July 4, 2001. And now, MacMonkies celebrates a whopping 8 years on the Net, beginning its 9th year this 7th month of and 4th day of July 2009! Yes, their has been some gaps of gas and hiatus heavies, but we've never been gutsy enough to give it up. Besides, there's so much talent on these pages that has been offered up by so many amazing artists and pixelators that we just couldn't delete these chapters in time.

As time hasn't stopped, neither has the sporadic creative activity of Master Monkie Wiles. There's quite a few pics, pans, and musical toots that are on their way in the days to come. And perhaps we'll gather up some guest artists to grace these pages once again.

Furthermore, there's been a possible addition to the Monkie entourage by the name of Leisa, AKA - Agent Lilac. Now, she doesn't know it yet, so don't spill the beans!

Alrighty then! Getting back to the festivities, let's offer up some lights for the cyber skies with a cool set of FIREWORKS to celebrate some Birthdays - America at 233 years, Tigger, Toenails, BC and Wobbles have turned 12, and MacMonkies is now 8 years of age. Time sure flies! Continued...

When we first fired up the Monkie Hut on July 4, 2001, we enjoyed a whopping 40 hits per day...In our hey day, we ran roughly 10 million per month, serving over a quarter of a million pages in the same time frame. And now, it's what...Like 3?!! =) Regardless, we thank all of the Monkie Readers, Contributors, and fellow Mac and PC sites for the friendly Support over the years!
