This fabulous set of fun comes from the cool and classy collections of Flameia Design, Julia's pixel palace on the web. Though these icon animals may not sport their fur, they're certain to give your desktop plenty of warm fuzzies!

Happicon's Rene must know the routine all too well as he shares the many faces we all have in common before, during, and after the caffeine hits the veins and gives the eyes a taste of the morning sunrise. Wireless iPod Predicted - Now that Apple has a wireless mouse and keyboard, what if the iPod went wireless as well? A Businessweek article titled "Byte of the Apple" begs this very question. With a concept called Everywhere Internet Audio (EIA) currently cooking, the story suggests that the music industry partner up with Apple to provide wireless access to any song, anytime, anyplace. It even states that Apple is taking steps toward a wireless iPod, making the question not so much what if, but when?- from MacMinute and Businessweek

Diamond Dave Bangs His Head - Singer David Lee Roth was trying to Dance The Night Away when he dinged himself in the head. The rock performer pounded himself clear to Panama with a board and screamed "Somebody Get Me A Doctor!" Roth must have made a Jump while attempting some sort of kung fu move when he cracked his face. The crack-up singer will not be seeing California Girls on Mean Street any time soon as he cracked himself up enough to need twenty one stitches! At The Top - ALRIGHTY THEN!!! It's time to bump up the groove and do some damage to those mid-week blues! Everybody get down and funky as we roll out another pixel platter with our Wednesday Desktop Edition. You'll find some awesome desktop creations from digital artists all around the web as well as Community News, Software News On The Net, and those strange tasting Bananas right here in the Monkie Zoo. Time to turn up the tunes and boogie with Stu!

New GOO!

New Desktops - Fantabulous! Yes, your eyes can talk, and that's what they will be saying after they get a good look at this week's entries to the Gallery. So let's have a long look at the latest in 5 New Desktops from some of the web's finest. Shall we?

Desktops - With another exceptional snapshot, Marty Leone wakes up the neighborhood by rousing the roost with a close up shot of mother nature's natural alarm clock -- none other than Rooster! You're sure to get quite the wide-eyed awakening every morn with this excellent digital desktop from Marty's awesome abilities!

On a more relaxing note, Jack Juliussen provides a serene scene with the calm, cool, and collected selection called Solnedgang. This beautiful skyscape comes from the former galleries of Prevision and translates as "Sunset" from Danish to English. But there will be no language barrier for your eyes once they get a good look at this amazing desktop!

 

3-D Rendered - As the moments move forward, there comes a time for the seasons to make their changing of the guard. Summer Leaves from ShiftedReality's Juergen Eilts may allude to the transition of seasons, but most certainly will celebrate his amazing skills and Summer memories on your desktop!

If Steve Jobs gets a best dressed award for his minimalist wear in clothes, then your desktop gets the tops in pixel 'pops' with another jaw-dropping selection from EA Design's Ed Allen! Ed's abilities with the pixel pencil paint a great desktop portrait titled I Wish You Would. And this Monkie sure wishes he would share his secret to such fine works!

The final tune in this week's pixel jam is a nifty little selection from Monkie Master Bradford Wiles titled Satin Ball. This Bryce rendered creation is actually an old archived 'frame' that was never finished. Pulled from the Monkie cobwebs, it was reworked and dressed up to appear 'pretty in pink'. The title was simply pulled from the old jazz standard "Satin Doll". And in hopes of adding a bit of sunshine and cheer to a recent cloudy day, this number is respectfully dedicated to my web friend Ms. Mindy Weaver of The Iconfactory. Enjoy!!

eMail Verifier 1.2 - The maximum productivity folks at MAX Programming have just announced the release of Email Verifier 1.2. This e-mail tool checks the validity of your e-mail addresses without actually sending them. Then you can use the list of failed addresses to build a list for a 'please update' campaign. For all the changes made to Email Verifier, point your browser to MAX Programming and mail to the max!

You Can't Handel This - Those familiar with Handel's Messiah may be disillusioned that the masterpiece was assigned an "X" for explicit according to the iTunes Music Store (iTMS). Due to a technical trip up, the famous favorite which was introduced to iTMS last Tuesday, had the wrong rating tacked onto it. Such a rating would put the classic into the same category as contemporary artist Eminem, with warnings to be leery of the lyrics. The classification was corrected before dusk that day.
