SIT DOWN HUMOR
Two retired professors
were vacationing with their wives at a hotel in the Catskills.
They were
sitting on the veranda one summer evening, watching the
sun set. The history professor asked the psychology professor, "Have
you read Marx?" To which the professor of psychology
replied, "Yes
and I think it's these pesky wicker chairs."
LOST IN THE TRANSLATION
A hair products company,
Clairol, introduced the "Mist Stick", a curling
iron, into Germany only to find out that mist is slang
for manure. Not too
many people had use for the manure stick.
DROPPIN' EGGS
Why did the chicken stop
in the middle of the road?
It wanted to lay it on the

Powered Up Powerbooks
- Apple has packed more power into its entire line of Powerbooks.
Now there are five Powerbooks in the family, beginning with
the option of three different screen sizes. With all of
these Powerbooks to pick from Mac is sure to meet the needs
of more and more laptop lovers by the minute. People can
get plugged in with plenty of power starting with a speedier
new 12-inch Combo or Superdrive, a 15-inch Combo or Superdrive,
or a speedier new 17-inch Superdrive. -
from PC
Pro
Exposed At The
Expo - Some interesting information was introduced
by Steve Jobs during his keynote address in Paris. Aside
from the speedy Powerbook parade, Jobs also juggled around
the idea of having a 3 gigahertz G5 up and running before
the end of the next summer season. The popular iChat AV
was promoted, but there was not so much as a prediction
of when Panther, the newest Mac operating system, will be
presented to the public. Perhaps Mac users would have preferred
to know that one piece of information over all the others.

When
it comes to the weather in Wyoming, one never needs to
worry about getting bored. If you don't like the current
weather, wait about 5 minutes and it will change! And
with that thought in mind, MacMonkies'
Webmaster Wiles created a little Bryce number titled
Indian Summer.
In this neck of the woods, ya never know if you will be
freezin' your eyelids or heatin' up in the latter part
of Fall. Enjoy!

HOT TIN ROOF
A man left his cat
with his brother while he went on vacation for a week. When
he came back, the man called his brother to see when he
could pick the cat up. The brother hesitated, then said,
"I'm so sorry, but while you were away, the cat died."
The man was very upset
and yelled, "You know, you could have broken the news
to me better than that. When I called today, you could have
said he was on the roof and wouldn't come down. Then when
I called the next day, you could have said that he had fallen
off and the vet was working on patching him up. Then when
I called the third day, you could have said he had passed
away."
The brother thought
about it and apologized.
"So how's Mom?"
asked the man.
"She's on the roof
and won't come down."
HALF AND HALF
My grand daddy once
said, "You bet I'm half woman. My daddy was a man and
my momma was a woman!"
LEAVE IT!
A panda bear walks into
a restaurant and orders a sandwich. When he receives the
sandwich he eats it and then shoots the waiter and leaves
the restaurant. A policeman sees the panda and tells him
he just broke the law. The panda bear tells the policeman
that he's innocent and, if he didn't believe him, to look
in the dictionary. The policeman gets a dictionary and looks
up "panda bear." It says, "Panda Bear: eats
shoots and leaves."

Musical Apples
- Apple Corps has once again come knocking at Apple Computer's
door, this time over iTunes. The Beatles' owned record company
is bringing a 1991 agreement between the two companies back
into the spotlight. The document is to be deciphered by
the High Court in London, and allowance of the Apple name
applied to downloads is to be determined. Interest in the
interpretation increases as this drama plays out between
the two biggest Apples in music. Hmmm...I
guess a time will never gonna Come Together and Let It Be.

Apple
Reunion - A reunion of former Apple employees over
the weekend fostered many memories of Apple's first man,
CEO Steve Jobs. Attendees shared openly while picking the
shrimp platters clean. Specific stories of Jobs' hot temper
struck a chord with all those present while strolling down
memory lane. Forget about meeting him in a dark alley, most
people that have worked for Jobs wouldn't even want to meet
him in the elevator! But they all agreed that Apple wouldn't
be Apple without him. - from Wired
