Super Granny!
An elderly lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four
males in the act of leaving with her car. She dropped her shopping bags and
drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at them at the top of her voice, "I
have a gun and I know how to use it! Get out of the car you scumbags !"
The four men didn't wait for a second invitation but got out and ran like
mad, whereupon the lady, somewhat shaken, proceeded to load her shopping
bags into the back of the car and get into the driver's seat.
She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She
tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why. A few minutes later she found
her own car parked four or five spaces farther down.
She loaded her bags into her car and drove to the police station. The sergeant
to whom she told the story nearly tore himself in two with laughter and pointed
to the other end of the counter, where four pale white males were reporting
a car jacking by a mad elderly woman described as white, less than 5' tall,
glasses, and curly white hair carrying a large handgun.
What Goes Around
Junior had just received his brand new drivers license. To celebrate, the
whole family trooped out to the driveway and climbed into the car for his
inaugural drive. Dad immediately headed to the back seat, directly behind
the newly minted driver.
"I'll bet you're back there to get a change of scenery after all those
months of sitting in the front passenger seat teaching me how to drive," said
the beaming boy to his ol' man.
"Nope," came dad's reply, "I'm gonna sit here and kick the
back of your seat as you drive, just like you've been doing to me for sixteen
years."
The 23rd Pound
My appetite is my shepherd;
I shall always want.
It maketh me to sit down and stuff myself.
It leadeth me to my refrigerator repeatedly.
It leadeth me in the path of Burger King for a whopper.
It destroyeth my shape.
Yea, though I knoweth I gaineth,
I will not stop eating,
For it tasteth so good.
The ice cream and cookies, they comfort me.
When the table is spread before me it exciteth me,
For I knoweth that soon I shall dig in.
As I filleth my plate continuously,
My clothes runneth smaller.
Surely bulges and excess weight shall follow me
all the days of my life,
AND I SHALL BE FAT FOREVER.
Where's George?
Some men go on a hunting trip and separate into pairs. That evening one
hunter, Sam, returned to camp alone toting a 12 point buck. One
of the men asked, noticing that Sam had returned alone.
"He's about 6 miles back. He tripped and broke his ankle. I left him
there 'cause I figured ain't nobody 'bout to steal him."

Apple Magic - At the Apple Expo in Paris
Steve Jobs exposed the three- ingredient formula that makes Apple great. According
to Jobs, Apples magic potion is made up of the perfect combination of "World
class hardware, applications and services." With the right amount of
each all brewed up in the Apple pot no competition will be able to stand
a chance, because Apple makes them all "work together seamlessly." -

On Time With Intel - Apple CEO Steve Jobs
has confirmed that Apple is right where it wants to be in terms of Intel.
Rumors of sales slowing down have not been fulfilled and investors in Apples
with Intel inside are positive and pumped up about it. Jobs verified that
shipping dates for Intel Macs are still set for June 2006. The schedule,
like the sales, has not even begun to slow down. -

Customers Keep iTunes Cost Consistent - Since
the price of iTunes songs fits customers well, Steve Jobs does not plan to
give in to the pressure of music labels to increase the cost of songs. Jobs
commented that music companies already make more money off the price of songs
than they ever did when simply selling CDs by lack of production costs, so
there is no point in pondering an iTunes price hike. -

Bogus Bills
A big-city counterfeiter decided the best place to pass off his phony
$18 bills would be in some small hick Southern town. So, he got into his
new wheels and off he went.
He found a tiny town with a single store. He entered the store and handed
one of the bogus bills to the man behind the counter. "Can you change
this for me, please?" he said.
The store clerk looked at the $18 bill a short time, then smiled and told
the man, "Ah reckon so, Mister. Ya want 2 nines or 3 sixes?"
Women, Argh!
While on a car trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant
for lunch. After finishing their meal, the elderly woman left her glasses
on the table, but she didn't miss them until they were back on the highway.
By then, they had to travel quite a distance before they could find a place
to turn around. The elderly man fussed and complained all the way back
to the restaurant.
When they finally arrived at the restaurant, as the woman got out of the
car to retrieve her glasses, the man yelled to her, "While you're
in there, you might as well get my hat, too."
You Can't Take That!
A preacher was asking for contributions to the church's program to buy
food for the needy. The town gambler, who also owned the saloon and several
other shady operations, offered the preacher $500.
"You can't take that," a deacon told the preacher. "That's
the devil's money."
"Well, brother," said the preacher, cheerfully accepting the
gift, "in that case, the devil has had his hands on it long enough.
Now let's see what the Lord can do with it."

iTunes Kicks Back Competitors - Though many
companies across the seas and here in the United States have tried to compete
with the Apple iPod, no company has come close. In fact, they have had to
cut costs continually in hopes of surviving against iPod. The reason Apples
competition has not been able to make the cut is because of Apples iTunes
dominance. iTunes is Apples golden ticket on the music market. -

Nano Is No Ninny - Apple, once again, has
left the rest of the world in the dust with its iPod nano. Nano, which is
eighty percent smaller than Apples original iPod, does it all, from music
to photos. In addition, its battery lasts up to fourteen hours. Simple and
schick, like its predecessors, iPod nano also has a few new features, such
as a world clock, a stopwatch and a screen lock. -

iPod Displaces Tapes and CDs - Now that iPod
is becoming the standard mode of listening entertainment it seems to be causing
an identity crisis for cassette tapes and CDs. After all, once a person goes
iPod they can never go back. So what is to become of all the space-taking
CDs and cassettes that are left laying around? Well once they are transferred
to iPod they may as well be sold or even given away! -

Look Around! - Well, it's only taken forever
and a day...But whilst this Monkie was
home away from work and sick with the crud (turned out to be a respiratory
infection), I had some extra time on my hands to clean up the ol' Monkie
Hut. If you look around, almost every section sports a conform look to the
current GUI, except the Music Department and part of the Google Monkie search.
There's still some junk HTML code to sweep up, but the overall look should
be pretty consistent. Soon to be added will be the "tutorials" on how to
change your Desktops and Icons as well as some other surprises. Perhaps I
should get sick more often...Mmmmm, no. Never mind that!
But speaking of sick, I am still recooping and may need to take a day off

Canned Napoleon - Because Napoleon
believed that armies marched on their stomachs, he offered a prize in 1795
for a practical way of preserving food. The prize was won by a French inventor,
Nicholas Appert. What he devised was canning. It was the beginning of the
canned food industry of today.
Concrete Excretions - A large Caribbean parrot
fish excretes a ton of sand a year. Using two oversized front teeth, it nibbles
on sea grass and scrapes algae. Another set of teeth in its throat grinds
up the coral it ingests.
Polish And Preserve It - Rinse food products
off knives immediately after use, especially mayonnaise, which is a highly
corrosive substance. If staining should occur, use a non-abrasive polishing
compound (even toothpaste) to remove it.
Define Normality - A question that sometimes
drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?

Dog Sense - How many legs does a dog

it a leg.

A Dog's Telegram
On a slow day with few customers, a clerk at a telegram office looks down
from her counter and sees a dog waiting in line.
"Oh, aren't you cute?" she says. "What would you like me
to put on your telegram?"
"Bow wow wow, Bow wow wow," the dog
replies.
The clerk says in a cutesy voice, "But you can add another
'Bow wow wow' for the same price."
The dog responds, "Now wouldn't that sound a little silly?"

African Porpoise Groaner
In the middle of the African Continent, along the shore of an inland
lake, lived a tribe of native bushmen. In this lake lived some porpoises.
The tribesmen worshipped the porpoises and believed that they would live
for ever. However, one year during a drought, the myna birds, which were
the main food of the porpoises were dying out.
Fearful that the porpoises would starve the tribesmen headed toward the
coastline where they knew there to be an abundance of myna birds. They trapped
many of the birds and placed them in sacks and carried the sacks over their
shoulders back towards their lake.
Walking through the jungle paths they came upon a lion standing in the middle
of the path. It was a very regal and dignified looking lion and they were
terrified. However, they knew they had to get the myna birds back to the
porpoises, so they very carefully, and quietly stepped over the lion and
continued on their way.
Suddenly a game warden stepped out of the bushes and arrested them for transporting
mynas across a stately lion for immortal porpoises.
Chow Time!
Young Amanpreet never quite got over his miserable childhood as an orphan
in the ghetto. When he turned 18 he joined the Marines, but old habits die
hard and one night the sergeant found him rummaging around the garbage and
eating out of the discarded cans and jars.
"On your feet, Boy" he bellowed. "You'll eat in the mess
hall -- you're no better than the rest of us!"
