What's Your IQ?
Albert Einstein arrives at a dinner party. He introduces himself to the
first person he sees and asks, "What's your IQ?" The man answers, "241."
"That is wonderful!" says Albert. "We will talk about the
Grand Unification Theory and the mysteries of the universe. We will have
much to discuss!"
Next, Albert introduces himself to a woman and asks, "What's your IQ?" The
lady answers, "144."
"That is great!" responds Albert. "We can discuss politics
and current affairs. We will have much to discuss!"
Albert goes to another person and asks, "What's your IQ?" The
man answers, "51."
Albert responds, "How 'bout them Cowboys?"

Q. Who is the greatest babysitter mentioned in the Bible?
A. David. He rocked
Goliath to sleep.
A Sweepers Prayer
A friend and I were standing inside a building of a local theme park. We
were looking outside, and it was an extremely windy day. The area's custodian,
the one who had the job of sweeping up debris, was a very small woman (4'10",
90 lbs.) and she was having a rough time trying to not be blown away.
My friend joked with the lady, telling her that she would have to put heavy
rocks in her shoes when she went outside to work.
The lady looked at my friend and lisped, "You mean, now I weigh
me down to sweep?"
Fishy
Q. Why didn't Noah go fishing?
A. He only had two worms!

Apple Strikes Again - With another announcement
of a Special Event scheduled on September 7th, Apple will stand up to wow
the world once again. Some speculate that this Special Event will bring about
the unveiling of a video iPod, but whatever it is we know it will be spectacular.
So spectacular, in fact, that a piece of Apples announcement compared it
to the hugeness of the iPod, saying "Here we go again." -
from MacMinute
iTunes Counts The Cost - When it comes to
the price of iTunes there are beginning to be too many musicians in the kitchen.
That is, with the price tag on tunes sold coming up for review, record labels
may not be willing to allow Apple to make all the money decisions. Some labels
don't like the blanket ninety nine cents a song and may pull out of participating
in iTunes if Apple doesn't give them more of a say so. -
from PC

Calling All iTunes Fans - Rumor has it that
the Motorola iTunes phone is due out anytime. Being an Apple product it is
sure to be amazing, but speculation is circulating as to just how many songs
an iTunes phone could hold. It seems that an ordinary sized memory card would
likely allow only twenty five songs on the phone, much less than even iPod
shuffle can hold. The question is whether Mac fans will find it worth it. -

Wise Granny
On a flight to Florida, I was preparing my notes for one of the parent-education
seminars I conduct as an educational psychologist. The elderly woman sitting
next to me explained that she was returning to Miami after having spent two
weeks visiting her six children, 18 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren
in Boston. Then she inquired what I did for a living.
I told her, fully expecting her to question me for free professional advice.
Instead she sat back, picked up a magazine and said, "If there's anything
you want to know, just ask me."

Intel Chips Fall Where They May - Apple has
signed an agreement which seems suspicious in the sense that it may suggest
a slight delay in the switch to Intel chips. Mac will remain friends with
Freescale, which currently supplies Power PC chips for notebooks and the
Mac mini, through the end of 2008. This agreement could signify a delay in
Intel or it could have simply been set up as a transition tool. -

Apple Stores Super Slick - There is always
a concern of success when a company decides to go retail, but Apple has flashed
its class and style in the design of its retail store the same way it does
with its products. The store is all about the brand of a lifestyle, basic
and stylish. Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, made its stores successful by specifying
that the stores emulate Apple products and be located in strategic places. -

Land Of Poopertunity - After getting injured
on the job, one patriot decided that instead of sitting around moping he
would become a professional pet pooper scooper. This enterprising business
has not only earned him the joy of hearing every poopy joke ever told, but
also earns him ten dollars for each yard he services. After seven years scooping
poop, he is proud to do it no matter how crappy work is. -

Alrighty then, folks! Let's see if we can have a solid week of "normality"
and stick to a regular schedule!!! And since school has started for most
folks out there, schedules will most likely revert to the boring old routine.
But hey...That's what you have crazy folks like us for - to break up the
monotony in the routine of things. So we'll try to keep things a little
fresher around here and get creative.
Speaking of which, remember the Mystery
Pic we mentioned recently? The original was...Another
World. And since no one picked it out of the Monkie
Bunch, we'll do another desktop "morph" and up the ante by adding the
unclaimed $10 iTunes Gift Certificate to another to make a $20 Gift Certificate
prize next time out. And that will be very soon! Now that we have the
formalities out of the way, let's kick into the fun and get Monday outta
the way!
