Now that we've tipped The Top, let's get
on with the GOO!
New GOO!
New Desktops -
As promised, another great batch of GUI goodies is ready
to light up your pixel skies! There are 5 New Desktops in
place that are eager to enter your fine desktop collections.
Let's get this Desktop Edition in gear!
3-D
Rendered - Bottling up bunches of Aqua freshness
is the ever talented Bob
Wiley. With Water
Bottle, Bob describes this fluid creation
as simply a different way of using computer art to show
water. But we're certain that this selection will turn
down the temps by allowing you and your desktop to cool
off from the hot Summer heat!
All
in a row and ready to roll! Back with his flash and flare
in GUI design is Elpincho with Alu
X Way Balls. This incredible number from elpincho
Designs aligns every pixel in perfect placement to
create a most amazing X-effect. No matter how you look
at it, you'll find those "X-ings" in every avenue of your
eyes' view!
Nature - Put your Monkie
paws together with a round of applause for Stephen
Anderson; as he returns
with his second entry in the desktop galleries titled
Sunset On Provo.
If the heat of the day has got you dragged down, then
the awe of the onset of evening will add rejuvenation
and the sun's energy to your desktop outlook!
Desktops -
Opening the doors for a fresh new look in desktop design is
master desktop crafter FR4NK.
At first glance, Dark
City almost appears by title and view to be
a more somber selection. But once you scan the content
of this great number, you'll certainly see the lighter
side of FR4NK's creative wizardry in action!
Not
the easiest to X-plain is the title of the latest piece
by MacMonkies' Bradford
Wiles. inXert was
originally a Bryce grouping of balls that formed an X.
But whatever the reasoning, the desktop was cropped,
cut in half, flipped, copied, and run through some filters.
So when you initiate the process of inverting an X, you
get inXert...Right? Enjoy!
Thanks

Bob, elpincho, and FR4NK...

ALL PSYCHED UP
In a class on abnormal psychology,
the instructor was about to introduce the subject of manic
depression.
The instructor asked, "How
would you diagnose a patient who walks back and forth,
screaming
at the top
of his lungs
one minute, then sits in a chair weeping uncontrollably
the next?"
A young man in the
rear raised his hand and suggested earnestly, "A

Front Page iPod Icon -
Steve Jobs may not be in pictures, but he landed one
on the front of Newsweek
magazine. Upstaging
his famous face in the photo is perhaps the even more famous
iPod. Inside the July 26 issue is an article about how

Good Vibrations?!! -
An Indian man has developed a shocking habit after running
into a live wire. The jog
of electricity he experienced gave him such excitations
that he just can't live without it. Now he keeps his kicks
alive by touching live electrical wires three times a day,
insisting that his body needs such intoxication. Electrical
shock has reportedly jolted "Current Baba" into
more of a buzz than drugs or alcohol ever did for him.
He has become dutifully diligent about his daily dose. - from Ananova
