Drawbacks To Working In A Cubicle Part
II
8. Prison cells are not only bigger, they have beds.
9. When tours come through, I get lots of peanuts thrown at me.
10. Can't slam the door when you quit and walk out.
11. If you talk to yourself it causes all the surrounding cubicle inhabitants
to pop their heads over the wall and say "What? I didn't hear you."
12. If your boss calls you and asks you to come into his office for a minute
the walk there is like a funeral march...people hand you tissues as you
pass and refuse to make eye contact.
13. You always have the feeling that someone is watching you, but by the
time you turn to look they're gone.
Play On Trees
On my first day of school my parents dropped me off at the wrong nursery.
There I was...surrounded by trees and bushes.
Fly Like Superman
Charlie was playing with his little brother Mickey when the little boy asked
whether he could fly like Superman.
"Sure you can, Mickey," Charlie said, "Just flap your arms
really really hard."
So Mickey climbed up on the windowsill, started flapping like mad, jumped,
then smashed into the ground just a few inches below.
Horrified, their mother came screaming into the room and said, "What
happened?!?"
Charlie said, "I was just teaching Mickey not to believe everything
someone tells him."
Flu Sufferer
"Three weeks?!" bellowed a flu sufferer into the telephone. "The
doctor can't see me for three weeks? I could well be dead by then!"
"If so," came a calm voice from the other end of the line, "could
you please have your wife call and cancel the appointment?"
Unofficial Request
A young and foolish pilot wanted to play a joke on the aviation frequencies.
So, this was his first time approaching a field during the nighttime.
Instead of making any official requests to the tower, he said: "Guess
who?"
The controller switched the field lights off and replied: "Guess where!"

Apple, Intel Wage Technology War - Some view
Steve Jobs' move to Intel chips as a direct challenge to Microsoft, the beginning
of a technology war between the rivals. Such a surprise switch settled by
the Apple CEO stunned the computer world as he has stuck to his own resources
in the past. Speculation has surfaced, therefore, that Jobs is moving in
on Microsoft and Sony in hopes to harness the debut of the digital living
room. - from Rocky
Mountain News
Podcasts Are Promising - Data on digital
Podcasts is proving them to be quite successful. Since Apple paved the way
for the availability of Podcasts on iTunes, Podcasters report that traffic
has skyrocketed. Apple itself reports over a million digital downloads of
Podcasts from iTunes since they were made available at the online music store
less than a month ago. Apple and Podcasters alike are both pleased with the
results. - from RedNova
Cell Phones In Future Flights -
Germany is working on ways to allow the wonderful world of flying to go wireless.
It can be done by combining a wireless system with electronics already existent
in airplanes. A base station would be set up that would communicate with
satellite panels placed on the ceiling of the planes. This would allow signals
from passenger cell phones, laptops and handhelds to be transmitted during
flight. - from Excite

New GOO!
New Desktops -
Rather fitting the theme of our 4 For Four Birthday Bash, we have 4
New Desktops for this week's Desktop Edition! And since these selections
will freshen your view, we'll roll out the latest prepped up for you!
Desktops - In some situations,
certain things are hard to "put in
a box." In all reality, the
works of Juegen Eilts would certainly be considered outside the box and
inside the
"window" of a marvelous selection such as Calatras
Forest! This amazing creation from the designs found at ShiftedReality and
realized via Vue 5 Infinite could be placed in most any classic category!
Fun - They're everywhere, they're everywhere!
Seems as though while some folks are set to save the universe, others are
just plainly a pain in the posterior. So while The Incredibles are off
to fight off the foe, Francisco Bennett from XÅERO STUDIOS portrays
this standoff of forces found in Omnidroid
vX9. We're sure that Apple and The Incredibles will come out on top!
Hey! Where's my halo? Perhaps it's in the shop for repairs. All too
true...I ain't no angel. Since nobody's perfect, and we all have a little "devil"
in us, you might find iDevil, the
latest pixel portrait from David Still, a
desktop shot in which you can relate. But don't let those innocent looking
eyes fool you. Though he might be thinking "the devil made me do it," you
might get burned!
Nature - If there's anyone who can appreciate
nature's beauty in full bloom, Adam Dickson of Pictures
and adicons most
definitely has a firm grasp of its adoration! This week he brings another
look of Springtime's freshness to the hot Summer sun with the incredible
view found in Springbuds 5.
Once your eyes get a whiff of this fresh piece, all of your senses will
be stimulated. Enjoy!

The Verdict
The DA stared at the jury, unable to believe the "not guilty" verdict
he'd just heard. Bitterly, he asked, "What possible excuse could you
have for acquitting this man?"
The foreman answered, "Insanity."
The attorney responded, still incredulous, "I could understand that...but
all twelve of you?"
Drawbacks To Working In A Cubicle Part I
1. Being told to "Think Outside the Box" when I'm in the darn
box all day!
2. Not being able to check E-mail attachments without first seeing who is
behind me.
3. Fabric cubicle walls do not offer much protection from any kind of gun
fire.
4. That nagging feeling that if I just press the right button, I will get
a piece of cheese.
5. Lack of roof rafters for the noose.
6. My walls are too close together for my hammock to work right.
7. 23 power cords, 1 outlet.
King Who?
A ten-year-old, under the tutelage of her grandmother, was becoming quite
knowledgeable about the Bible. Then one day she floored her grandmother by
asking, "Which Virgin was the mother of Jesus: the Virgin Mary or the
King James Virgin?"

Reading Between Tiger Lines - So many good
things are apparent to the naked eye when viewing Tiger for the first time.
One can wow their eyes by watching the widgets or the Spotlight search at
first glance. The new Apple operating system sports over two hundred changes,
however, most of which are unseen. Features such as firewall options and
file work with pdf all add up to make Tiger even more fabulous. -
from MacNewsWorld
Wireless World Of Apple - Some are speculating
that the new iTunes cell phone may be a step in the direction of Apple becoming
a Mobile Virtual Network Operator. This would mean that Apple would own a
wireless phone system all to itself. Since ESPN and Disney have already taken
that step, it seems a natural step for Apple. It may even be easier for Apple,
since it already produces the cool looking, user friendly products the world
loves. - from iPodObserver
Third World Technology - Due to the cost
of laying cables, many third world countries are behind in technology. Just
to get networked to high speed internet could cost an African citizen about
$125 a month. Rwanda is interested in jumping on the high speed bandwagon
however, and most Africans may be able to experience the network through
internet cafes. All other high speed traffic is left to the government and
schools at this time. - from BBC

Eye on Your Cousin
"I thought I told you to keep an eye on your cousin," the mother
said. "Where is he?"
"Well," her son replied thoughtfully, "if he knows as much
about canoeing as he thinks he does, he's out canoeing. If he knows as little
as I think he does, he's out swimming."
Enough Already!
Women should not have children after 35. Really...35 children are enough.
Little Tim's Goldfish
Little Tim was in the garden filling in a hole when his neighbor peered
over the fence.
Interested in what the cheeky-faced youngster was up to, he politely asked, "What'cha
doing, Tim?"
"My goldfish died," replied the boy tearfully, without looking
up. "I've just buried him."
The neighbor was concerned. "That's an awfully big hole for a goldfish,
isn't it?"
Tim patted down the last heap of earth, then replied, "That's because
he's inside your dumb cat."
Perfection?
I am a nobody...nobody is perfect...therefore I am perfect.
Alligator Shoes For The Sailor
A really big, strong sailor from a big city visits a fancy shoe store in
Miami, Florida for the first time. He really likes the fancy alligator shoes
in the display window.
He asks the salesman about the price. When the salesman says $400, he says "!@#$@*!
For that much, I will catch my own gator".
Later, after work, the Salesman is driving home to the suburbs of Miami
and sees the sailor pulling on a large rope, dragging something. When the
salesman stops, he sees the sailor untying a large alligator and going back
down the bank into the swamp.
A few minutes later, the sailor pulls an even larger alligator out of the
swamp. Then the sailor wraps his huge arms around the alligator and rolls
it over, and breaks out cursing again, "*@#$! This gator doesn't have
shoes either!!!"
