Pic
of the Day -
Okie dokie! It's time once again to pick on the guy
side of life. Sometimes men
seem to lack the knack in understanding that the
little folk around the house need a bit more finesse
in handling. With our latest Pic
of the Day, you
can see quite well that not all things come out in
the wash when a man's touch is in the picture. Take
a peek!
Better
With Age -
Men are like wine, some turn to vinegar, but the
best improve with age.

Marriage: In The End - Men
marry because they are tired, women because they
are curious; both are disappointed.

COUNTRY POLITICS
A busload of politicians
were driving down a country road, when suddenly the bus
ran off the road and crashed into
an old farmer's barn.
The old farmer got off his tractor
and went to investigate. Soon he dug a hole and buried
the politicians.
A few days
later, the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus
and asked the old farmer where all the politicians had
gone. The old farmer told him he had buried them.
The sheriff
asked the old farmer, "Lordy, were they
ALL dead?"
The old farmer said, "Well,
some of them said they weren't, but you know how them
crooked politicians
lie."

Bands Get On
The Bandwagon - Artists used
to resist the idea of releasing their tunes before releasing
their CDs.
Now that music downloads have become so popular, however,
they have found it beneficial when people buy their songs
instead of pirate them. It was also feared that selling
singles online would negate the sale of entire albums.
Singles sales have acted more like sneak previews though,
and seem to actually spur the sale of albums. Now artists
find digital downloads more friendly. Hmmm...A novel idea.
Bands of the early sixties (such as The Beatles) used
to release singles BEFORE finishing up an album. -

The Energizer
Banana - Scientists in Australia are finding
that rotten 'nanners' could act as a great source of energy.
It turns out that when combined with bacteria, the bad bananas
can create bunches of methane gas. The gas can then be channeled
through pipes in such a way that it could energize as many
as five hundred homes. Funding is being provided by the
government to find out all the possibilities of power the
fruit can produce. Well, that would
explain my "allergic reaction" to bananas! -

of Rampant
Mac and master mind behind ResExcellence,
pushes desktop creativity to the max with this most amazing

wonder why Scott hasn't heard from Apple!
Another artist with a newly acclaimed name
in desktop fame would be the ever fluent FR4NK.

the fields with a flourish of pixel passion. You will
find your view melting in melancholy with the deep blues
found in this magnificent selection.
Nature - You don't need
a green thumb to have a nice slice of the great out
doors planted square on your desktop! Mother Nature would
be proud with Schefflera
hanging in her personal desktop galleries. These plants
normally don't look very impressive, but Max
Vrooman captures a luminous view and a whole new dimension
comes to light.
3-D Rendered - You are
certain to see the artistic Dedication and
devotion in Juergen Eilts' latest desktop masterpiece.
This absolutely breathtaking work from the galleries

Juegen's most impressive piece to date. He combines his
exceptional talent and imagination with Vue d'Esprit
Pro to make for this must-have selection.
Talk about
your psychedelic GUI revolutions! Bob
Wiley adds a major hit

while Mando was taking photographs for his ViDRIO theme.
Shot without the gelatin film filter, this picture of a

PULL OVER!!
A police officer saw a car speeding down the
highway. He started chasing after the speeder. When he got
close he saw it was a woman who was actually knitting while
driving.
The cop yelled, "Pull over!"
The
woman shouted back, "No! It's a sweater!"
PIZZA, PIZZA!
A
guy ordered a pizza, and Luigi behind the counter asked
him if he wanted his pizza in 4 slices or 8.
"Better make it four, 'cause I really
can't finish 8 slices."
THE MAGICIAN AND THE PARROT
A young magician
started to work on a cruise ship with his pet parrot. The
parrot would always steal his act
by saying things like, "he has a card up his sleeve"
or "he
has a dove in his pocket."
One day the ship sank
and the magician and the parrot found themselves alone
on a lifeboat. For a couple of
days, they
just sat there looking at each other. Finally, the parrot
broke the silence and said, "Okay, I give up. What
did you do with the ship?"

Jobs' Music
Monopoly? - Apple CEO
Steve Jobs has been raking in more
and more dough since starting
up the iTunes
Music Store. While known as being a down to earth sort
of guy who simply implements his innovative ideas, this
extra income is boosting his rank among the wealthy. Some
suggest that his image will be shaped into more of a brainy
businessman and, with the way he has set up iTunes, that
he may well hold the monopoly on digital music just as
Bill Gates holds the monopoly on Microsoft. -

Web On Wheels -
A new York artist has come up with a portable wireless
web station by building it
onto his bike. Equipped with a wireless hub, wi-fi antennas
and a laptop, the web is accessible through cellular networks
almost anywhere the bike can go. The maker has dubbed it
the Magicbike, and speculates that it's best use would
be at public demonstrations or possibly for emergencies.
His creation is catching on and he is considering setting
up a community website for wireless bikes. - from BBC
