At The Top: Last Day Beaning Single - Here
comes the bride, here comes the groom.
After the wedding they'll both share a room! This is it, folks - Ms.
Tina "BeanHead" Spicer's last
day of being single. And though I could take this opportunity to give her
a ration of razzin', I thought I would take a break from our usual GUI
Edition and pay a little tribute to our Nose for News. Ya see, this crazy
little site started almost 4 years ago simply as an experiment so to speak;
a place to showcase my own personal work and to offer a bit of a positive
alternative to much of the media's negative sensationalism. But before
I knew it, MacMonkies got a lot busier than anticipated.
I
quickly realized that I could no longer handle all of the Monkie duties single
handedly. In comes Tina. I approached her about taking some of the responsibilities
off my hands and become a regular part of the "show." Though slightly
reluctant at first, she dove right in and gave it her all. Before ya know
it, she was thrilled to have a permanent place here at the Monkie Zoo and
continued to add support in so many ways that were far above and beyond the
call of duty. She's simply irreplaceable!
To sum it all up, Tina is a priceless member of our team
effort. And through thick and thin, I could not have done this "project"
without out her. So for you Tina, you are the BEST! Cheers to you!!!
One last thing...Since Tina will be away for a little over
a week, that means you are stuck with me for a tad. Are you ready for the
miStEaKs??? This ought to be interesting!

American in England
An American visiting in England asked at the hotel for the elevator.
The portiere looked a bit confused but smiled when he realized what the
man wanted.
"You must mean the lift," he said.
"No," the American responded. "If I ask for the elevator
I mean the elevator."
"Well," the portiere answered, "over here we call them lifts".
"Now you listen", the American said rather irritated, "someone
in America invented the elevator."
"Oh, right you are sir," the portiere said in a polite tone, "but
someone here in England invented the language."
Leaning Tower of Pisa
Did you hear the Italian Government is going to
put a clock on the Leaning Tower of Pisa?
They figure what good is the
inclination, if you don't have the time.
Popping Ears
Aboard a flight from Los Angeles to New York, Grandma Esther was taking
her very first flight.
They had only been aloft a few minutes when the elderly lady complained
to the flight attendant that her ears were popping.
The young woman smiled and gave the older woman some chewing gum, assuring
her that many people experienced the same discomfort.
When they landed in New York, Grandma thanked the flight attendant.
"The chewing gum worked fine," she said, "but tell me, how
do I get it out of my ears?"
Stop It!!!!
A note was left on a car that had been given to a garage to be fixed, "Couldn't
repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
Mice In The Church
Three Pastors were having lunch together at a diner.
The first Pastor said, "Ya know, since summer started I've been having
trouble with mice in my church. I've tried everything--noise, spray, cats...nothing
seems to scare them away.
The second Pastor then said "Yea, me too. I've got hundreds living
in the basement of the church. I've set traps and even called an expert to
get rid of them, yet they still won't go away."
With a grin on his face, the third Pastor said, "I had the same problem
so I baptized all mine and made them members of the church...Haven't seen
one back since!!!"

Mid-Week Monkie Madness Edition - As mentioned yesterday,
this is the official week of Monkie Madness Mania! Not sure when it comes
or where it goes, just know that its consistency is that of which nobody
knows (sounds like Just Another Day in the life of a particular Monkie).
Therefore, we'll be slippin' and slidin' in and out of the scoop shoot
for the remainder of the week. Though I DoeWannaDoThat, You and I
know that when the Sea of Life calls, we all gotta do what we all gotta
do. Why? Don't know that either. Oh Well Anyway...
P.S. - The above
message contains an encoded message. Don't try deciphering this at home!

Insufficient Funds
A young college co-ed came running in tears to her father. "Dad, you
gave me some terrible financial advice!"
"I did? What did I tell you?" said the dad.
"You told me to put my money in that big bank, and now that big bank
is in trouble."
"What are you talking about? That's one of the largest banks in the
state," he said. "There must be some mistake."
"I don't think so," she sniffed. "They just returned one
of my checks with a note saying, 'Insufficient Funds'."
Just Browsing
A blind man and his seeing eye dog walked into a store. When he gets in,
he starts swinging his dog around. Upset by this, the manager of the store
demanded to know what he was doing.
The blind man calmly replied, "I'm
just lookin' around."
Computer Skills
When Suzy decided to improve her computer skills, she threw herself into
it with enthusiasm. Every week she'd check out two or three instructional
books from the library.
After about a month, the librarian commented, "Wow! You must really
be getting knowledgeable at this stuff."
"Thanks," Suzy said. "What makes you say that?"
The librarian answered, "Only one of the books you're checking out
this week has 'For Dummies' in the title."

Why does Santa Claus go down the chimney on Christmas Eve?

The Top: Short Week - Slickity, slippery,
dock. The Monk has lost his clock! The time slips by before his
eyes with skid marks on his socks! Whoever said that life is what happens
when you're busy makin' plans, well they weren't a kiddin'! The Bean is on
the path of preparation to walk down the aisle in just a few days. So she's
gonna be absent this week and next. For myself, I am prepping a collection
of Monkie music for her swingin' reception. SO! The rest of the week is going
to be very light in the update alley. Until the twists get unturned, we'll
be poppin' in and out for the remainder of the week with a possible GUI Edition
on Friday. Anything else? Your guess is as good as mine. Hang in there!
