LEGALITIES!
The pope and a lawyer are on the elevator
to heaven. When they arrive at the gates, there's a mad
rush of angels, saints, and other holy people on their
way to greet them.
When they arrive, they pick the lawyer
up on their shoulders and carry him off cheering hysterically.
The pope is deeply
saddened.
St. Peter sees this
and goes over to him and says, "Don't
feel bad. We get popes in here all the time, it's not every
day we get a lawyer."
BAD BELT
Why did the belt get locked up?
Because he
held up a pair of pants.
YET ANOTHER... There was a mad scientist
who kidnapped three colleagues: An engineer, a physicist,
and a mathematician. He locked each of them in separate
cells with plenty of canned food and water but no can opener.
A
month later, returning, the mad scientist went to the
engineer's cell and found it long empty. The engineer had
constructed a can opener from pocket trash, used aluminum
shavings and dried sugar to make an explosive, and escaped.
The
physicist had worked out the angle necessary to knock
the lids off the tin cans by throwing them against the
wall. She was developing a good pitching arm and a
new quantum theory.
The mathematician had stacked the unopened
cans into a surprising solution to the kissing problem;
his desiccated
corpse was propped calmly against a wall, and this
was inscribed on the floor:
THEOREM: If I can't open these
cans, I'll die.
PROOF: Assume the opposite...

Apple Extras Attract Critics -
After visiting the San Francisco Apple Store one critic finally figured
out what Mac fans' fuss is about. She was impressed by
all the bells and whistles available to play with hands-on.
Tech support also caught her attention through the Genius
Bar and customer service personnel. She goes on about Apple
going the extra mile with free courses on various Mac apps
rather than simply leaving customers to fend for themselves.
In short, she now understands the bulk of the Apple buzz.

The title refers to the stamens being protected by the

about the stamens, they are being backlit by the petals
themselves because of the sun position. This stunning
new piece is a must-have desktop and it's only available

Scat
Man
- The voice of Scat Cat in Disney's 1970 animated feature
The Aristocats was supposed to be provided by legendary
jazz trumpet master Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong.
The character's look was modeled after Armstrong -- the
way he played his trumpet, his roly-poly physique, right
down to the prominent gap between his teeth. In 1968, Louis
even recorded an album that was called "Disney Songs
the Satchmo Way."
Then, in 1969, the
deal suddenly fell apart. Before Disney had gotten Armstrong
into the
studio to record a single line of dialogue, Louis abruptly
bailed out of the project. In desperation, Disney hired
Scatman Crothers to provide vocals for Scat Cat. Their
direction to Crothers: pretend you're Satchmo.

Day
768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic
they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water
torture. This
time however it included a burning foaming chemical called "shampoo." What
sick minds could invent such a liquid.
Day 774 -
I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe
snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more
than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The
bird
on the other hand has got to be an informant. He has mastered
their frightful tongue (something akin to mole speak)
and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports
my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal
room his safety is assured. But I can wait, it is only
a matter of time.

BIGGEST FAN
One day a woman dies
an finds herself at the gates of Heaven. She sees St.
Peter
and asks "Can I get into heaven now?" He says,
"Soon, I have some things to take care of."
So St. Peter leaves
and the woman looks at the scenery and sees millions
of clocks lying around.
Every
once in a while, a clock or so would turn ahead 15 minutes.
She wondered why.
Soon, St. Peter came
back and she asked "St.
Peter? What are all these clocks for?"
St.
Peter replies "Each clock represents a man.
Every time a married man flirts with another woman,
the clock
turns ahead 15 minutes."
She asks "Where's
my husbands clock?"
St. Peter replies "Oh,
it's in God's office, he uses it for a fan."
