MacTech Announces MacForge - Looking for open
source projects? MacTech released
the public beta of MacForge,
a site to offer support for the open source community. It was created for
not only the experienced open source user, but to introduce Mac technical
folks to the wonderful array of Mac compatible open source projects available.
With the huge availability of open source out there, it can be difficult
to find projects most relevant to the Mac. MacForge seeks out open source
projects that either have already been tested on the Mac, or are likely to
run on the Mac, without major porting work. Now that you have the skinny,
slide on over to MacForge.net for
the full scoop!

Psycho Secret - Master of suspense
Alfred Hitchcock bought the rights to the novel Psycho anonymously from the
writer for just $9,000. He then purchased as many copies of the novel as
he could to keep its ending a secret.
Spotting The Star Producers - In a 1996
interview, comedian Jerry Lewis related that he was among the first to spot
young Steven Spielberg's talent. He showed Spielberg's short film Amblin
to his University of Southern California class, which included students George
Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola.
The Last Of The Perfect Storm - The two-minute
storm in the opening of Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989) took ten special
effects artists over a year to complete. This was the last Disney animated
feature to be painted by hand. One thousand different colors were used on
1,100 backgrounds. Over one million drawings were produced in total.

Only The Lonely
There were 3 friends stranded in an island. Exploring the island, the
3 men found a bottle so they opened it. A genie came out, and she said that
she would grant them 3 wishes. The first man said, "I wish I was with
my family" then poof he was with his family.
The second guy said "I
wish I was in a bar with my friends" then poof he was gone.
The third
guy was feeling bad and the genie asked, "What's wrong?"
The man
said, I'm lonely I wish my friends were here."
Poof, his two friends
were back in the island.
Scratch This
"What's your handicap these days?" one golfer asked another.
"I'm a scratch golfer...I write down all my good scores and scratch
out all my bad ones."
Note Of Redemption
"Your Honor," began the defense attorney, "my client has
been characterized as an incorrigible bank robber, without a single socially
redeeming feature. I intend to disprove that."
"And how will you accomplish this?" the judge inquired.
"By proving beyond a shadow of a doubt," replied the lawyer, "that
the note my client handed the teller was on recycled paper."
