Positively Lost It
Two hydrogen atoms meet. One says "I've lost my electron."
The
other says "Are you sure?"
The first replies "Yes, I'm positive."
Becoming A Lawyer
There was a job opening in the country's most prestigious law firm and it
finally comes down to Robert and Paul.
Both graduated magna cum laude from law school. Both came from good families.
Both are equally attractive and well spoken. It's up to the senior partner
to choose one, so he takes each aside and asks, "Why did you become
a lawyer?" In seconds, he chooses Paul.
Baffled, Robert takes Paul aside. "I don't understand why I was rejected.
When Mr. Armstrong asked me why I became a lawyer, I said that I had the
greatest respect for the law, that I'd lay down my life for the Constitution
and that all I wanted was to do right by my clients. What in the world did
you tell him?"
"I said I became a lawyer because of my hands," Robert replies.
"Your hands? What do you mean?"
"Well, I took a look one day and there wasn't any money in either of
them!"
Sinking On Both Ends
Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, so they lit a fire in the craft.
Unsurprisingly it sank, proving once again that - You can't have your kayak
and heat it too.
The In-Laws
A husband said to his wife, "No, I don't hate your relatives. In fact,
I like your mother-in-law better than I like mine."

iTunes Sports Videos And More - With the
release of an iPod that plays videos comes the availability of music videos
on iTunes. Instead of 99 cents for a tune, the videos cost a buck ninety
nine, while both record labels and Hollywood are anxious to get a piece of
the profit. iTunes is selling more than music videos, however. It will also
sport television episodes of Disney's hottest shows thanks to a deal sparked
by CEO Steve Jobs. - from NewsWeek
iPod Music Is The Most - Though a cooler than
ever iPod has been crafted with the capacity to carry video images, many
believe it is still the music capabilities that will draw a wowing public
to Apples iPod. The video transition may not be as slick, they say, as the
music idea was because of a few sticky situations. One is that the demand
may not be in place, and another is that videos have to be downloaded through
a computer. - from IndyStar
Cell Phones Third World Success - Mobile
phones have been providing the country of Africa with a marvelous makeover.
It seems the demand for cell phones would be next to nil in an impoverished
country, but it turns out Africans can afford mobile phones more than land
phones. And they get creative with the technology too. Some animal researchers
tie the phones around elephants' necks to track them more easily. -

Odds and Ends
Ordered Alphabet - Facetious, abstemious,
abstentious, arsenious, and arteriosus are the only five words in the English
language that contain the vowels a, e, i, o, and u in their proper order.
Birds Of War - Birds played
a role in aerial warfare during World War I. Because of their acute hearing,
parrots were kept on the Eiffel Tower to warn of approaching aircraft long
before the planes were heard or seen by human spotters.
Hotter Than Hot - The hottest day ever
in Canada was July 5, 1937 when the mercury soared to 45 degrees Celsius
(113 Fahrenheit) in Midale and Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan. But that's downright
chilly compared to the United States where the temperature hit 56.7 (135
F) degrees Celsius on July 10, 1913 at Death Valley, California, and Al'azizyah,
Libya, where thermometers reached 58 C (137 F) on September 13, 1922.
A Difference - Stay as you are
and you won’t make a difference. Stay as you are and you'll never mean
a thing.
- Span
Sentence For Life - "I am" is
reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that "I
do" is
the longest sentence?
- George Carlin
Twisted Heart - Some people say that I
must be a terrible person, but it’s not true. I have the heart of
a young boy in a jar on my desk.
- Stephen King

Elephant and Turtle
An elephant was drinking out of a river one day, when
he spotted a turtle asleep on a log. So, he ambled on over and kicked it
clear across the river.
"What did you do that for?" Asked a passing giraffe.
"Because I recognized it as the same turtle that took a nip out of
my trunk 53 years ago."
"Wow, what a memory," commented the giraffe.
"Yes," said the elephant, "turtle recall."
Gum To Win!
Two men were in the process of inventing a new brand of gum. They
were arguing over the fact that their new gum was too hard and brittle
and didn't have the right consistency. One of the inventors kept arguing
that they simply had to add more liquid to their primary secret ingredient,
code named "Yewin."
The other man argued adamantly. "No, No, No! It's not wetter Yewin
that counts...it's how you ply the gum!"
Vacation Pay
Dear Valued Employee:
Our records indicate that you have not used any vacation time over the past
100 year(s). As I'm sure you are aware, employees are granted 3 weeks of
paid leave per year or pay in lieu of time off. One additional week is granted
for every 5 years of service. Please either take 9,400 days off work or notify
our office and your next pay check will reflect payment of $8,277,432.22
which will include all pay and interest for the past 1,200 months.
Sincerely,

Valuable Household Objects
As the woman was instructing the new maid on the great care required in
handling certain valuable household objects. She pointed to the dining room
and said with obvious satisfaction, "That table goes back to Louis the
Fourteenth."
"Oh, that's nothing," the maid interjected. "My whole living
room set goes back to Sears on the fifteenth."
