At
The Top -
Yay! I finally got that blue junk off of my fingers! But then I played mechanic for a day, replacing my brakes,
rotating tires, and giving the ol' Punk Mobile a lube
job. So now me Monkie hands are stained with grease and
break dust! Hmmm...Like you would even be interested!
So, okay. Now that I am done rambling, the
good news is that it is time for everyone's favorite Friday
Icon Edition! There's great new GOO plus a smidgen of Monkie
News and Bananas too. Let's dig in!
Note:
There will be no updates over the weekend as we finish
prepping for next week's fun! =)
New GOO!
New Icons -
Okay! It's time to play as we open up the GUI Gallery for
this week's Friday Icon Edition! There's 3 New
Icon Sets on display for your pixel pleasures from some fantabulous
artists. Let's dig in to the goodies!
Elpincho -
As a sort of "Extras" set, Elpincho weighs in with
a fine line of media drive designs with Remainders
Discs. It's certain you'll see this collection
worth its weight in heavy metal as every pixel sports Elpincho's
eye for quality and style. Stylistic steel? You can bet
on it down to the very last ounce of GUI goodness!
DV
Graphics - Yowza! The pixel talents of DV
Graphics' Paul Sahner just keep getting better
all the time! The sharpening of his GUI skills is most
evident in Paul's most excellent icon collection Random
Icons 3. This great group of GOO covers
just about everything imaginable to place on your desktop
canvas!
Blurburger -
Oh the fun! The creativity never stops for Blurburger's Peter Joison! Adding gobs of blobs in module fun form
comes none other than Blobules.
It seems that the choicest of innovative craftsmanship
comes by the combining of things that normally would
not be found together. The best of both worlds! Enjoy!
Thanks

Elpincho,
Paul, and Peter...

a bar. The bartender comes up to him and asks him what
he wants. "A scotch on the rocks, please." He
then lays a 10 dollar bill on the bar.
The bartender
takes the money and goes to fix his drink. He thinks
to himself, "Hey, this is a gorilla, he doesn't know
about the prices of drinks" and takes 15 cents

Another
bartender asks the first bartender about the gorilla
and he says: "Yeah, he's nice. Go talk to him."

goes to the gorilla and strikes up a conversation.
"Hey there. Ya

Recording Industry Recognizes Downloads -
The recording industry has decided to start rewarding top
online music downloads with gold and platinum status, just
as they have with records and CDs for years. One hundred
thousand downloads will earn a song gold status, two hundred
thousand Platinum status, and four hundred thousand or
more downloads will earn a song multi-platinum status.
The count will begin in August, marking an important digital
milestone by doing justice to legitimate download services.

Gimme A Mac Break - The Military MACH 5,
made with Macs, may be a key component in opening the market
door for Macs. Apple has been wanting to make a mark in
the major business world of computing for quite some time,
but has never been taken seriously as a contender. Now
that Mac has proved it's server expertise, powered up it's
G5, and switched to Unix, it is much more marketable. The
Military getting on board with Mac may be Apple's big break
into the big business market. - from FCW.com
